Spectacular opening to Beijing Paralympic Games

The Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games have launched with a spectacular Opening Ceremony. In the three-hour show, 6,000 performers and 4,000 disabled athletes from 148 countries took part in front of 91,000 spectators. The Beijing 2008 Olympic Games got off to a spectacular start with a stunning Opening Ceremony at the Bird's Nest stadium. Small UK companies winning biggest London 2012 business benefits

Of the 650 companies that have already won over £2 billion worth of work supplying the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) to date over 70 per cent are small and medium (SMEs) sized businesses and 98 per cent are UK based.
