Following in the footsteps their idols The Beatles, Oasis became a phenomenon in their home country in the 1990s. Taking the Fabs' template as a model, they added a thick wall of Pete Townshend-influenced guitars and stood at the vanguard of the mid-'90s Britpop movement, inspiring scores of imitators. Oasis @ Electric Proms 2008

Oasis closed the BBC Electric Proms at the London Roundhouse, attracting a star studded audience - Daniel Craig, Joe Cole, Russell Brand, Ralph Little..... They played favourites such as Wonderwall and Don't Look Back In Anger, the 5 piece band from Manchester used the Crouch End Festival Chorus for 6 songs. The band wrapped up the show with their cover of The Beatles classic I Am The Walrus.
